WHO WE ARE

MEET RYAN & STEPHANIE

Meet Ryan.

When I was younger I never found a sport I loved until the moment I walked into a local gymnasium at 13.  I fell in love with the discipline of the gym, I felt the passion for what I was doing at such a young age.  Weight lifting gave my life discipline, structure, confidence and oriented my life in a positive direction and I became very motivated for continuous improvement in my life.  As I grew up and surrounded myself with coaches and mentors I quickly learned that exercise and wellness affect so much more than a number on a scale, health affects those around you and those in your community.  I have been fortunate enough to have found my passion in life and I want nothing more than to share the same joy I experienced at 13 stepping into that gymnasium and the same joy I still experience today with everyone I work with.

Health and fitness has played an integral role in my life, beginning in.my college years when I majored in, and received, a bachelor's degree in Ex.Sc. Since then, my passion for health and wellness has become my lifestyle, and I want to share and educate that lifestyle to my clients.

I have been in the fitness field for ten years, and for the last five years, I have been a personal trainer at a large, medical corporate fitness facility, where I have worked in one on one training, providing a tailored approach to each individual’s goals and needs. I have worked with hundreds of clients, each having different goals and backgrounds. Through individual programming and a personal commitment to my clients, I have been able to help my clients reach goals they never thought were possible. It is very important for me to know and understand my clients’ obstacles and barriers, so I can assist them in achieving healthy and sustainable goals that would last a lifetime.

The best part of my job as a personal trainer is when I see how fitness has impacted my clients’ quality of life, knowing I played a role in their journey toward health and wellness.

Meet Stephanie.

I’ve been overweight or obese for most of my adult life. I spent years and years yo-yo dieting and doing every new diet and fad that came. Each time the results didn’t last and each time I gained more weight and lost more confidence. In 2015, as a shift worker in a busy hospital laboratory, at a weight of 260lbs, a high cholesterol diagnosis, knee pain, foot pain and difficulty breathing when doing routine tasks I realized something had to give. I began to educate myself about fat loss and caloric deficit. I used popular apps to gain an understanding of energy balance and slowly I began to figure out how to make healthy choices. Before I knew it I was down 30lbs and ready to introduce some activity into my days. I began with workout videos in my living room. I found myself in a weight room for the first time after not making the cut for the local roller derby team and being told I needed to get stronger. In 2018 I walked into the gym Ryan worked at. Within a couple months I became his client and that's when the magic happened.

Slowly but steadily I continued to lose weight while gaining strength . With each small goal reached I gained a little of my confidence back. There were setbacks. There were times I gained a small amount back. There were times my progress stalled physically, emotionally or mentally. Ryan walked with me through each set back and helped me find my path again. I realized he wasn’t just a trainer anymore. He had become my friend. I knew I wanted to do what he does. In 2021, during the Covid 19 Pandemic I was still working shift work in the laboratory but now in microbiology. A front desk position opened at Ryan’s gym and I knew that was my door opening. I left the lab and started over. I studied and studied and studied and I passed the NASM-CPT, NASM-CNC and NASM-WLS exams. A couple of weeks later we began working together to create RHC,something we started talking about years before. My goal as a coach is to help each of my clients recognize and overcome their unique set of barriers. I’ve walked the path you are on and I want you to know you are understood.I want you to win. I want you to know you’re not the number on the scale. I want you to know you're stronger than you think you are. Above all I want you to realize that strength and carry it into everything you do.

At Ryan Howard Coaching, we have taken fitness and health to another level. Our goal is to teach healthy and sustainable lifestyle choices through 1-1 education, coaching, and individual programming.

We have the privilege and the opportunity to help our clients succeed and surpass goals they never thought possible. Whether your goal is to lose weight, gain weight, maintain weight, or build lean muscle, we will be with you every step of the way.
